Produced in 1962, this British biographical adventure film based on the life of T. E. Lawrence was directed by David Lean and produced by Sam Spiegel. It stars Peter O’Toole in the title role and is widely considered one of the greatest and most infuential films in the history of cinema. It won seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Substantially Original Score.
