Hailing from Stavanger, in Norway, Avast fills their debut with first class blackgaze/post-black metal with a touch of the vintage Norwegian black metal heritage. However Avast's lyrics are not centered around the usual black metal themes, but tend more towards a philosophical and poetical take on social and environmental issues.
