This release presents the complete LP Countdown –Time in Outer Space by the classic Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond, Gene Wright and Joe Morello, recorded during a number of sessions from May to December 1961. Also contained here is the only known alternate take from the sessions, as well as an extremely rare live performance by the same group taped in July of that year.
