After emerging as the group's focal point, Knowles assumed more control taking a greater hand in writing the material and even producing some of the record herself. ”Independent Woman”, “Survivor”, “Nasty Girl” and “Happy Face” are songs of morality, living life to the fullest potential, always persevere to achieve your dreams and finally being ambitious.
