Over two seasons the Elias String Quartet undertook the mammoth task of performing the complete Beethoven String Quartets at Wigmore Hall. The ensemble’s commitment, meticulous attention to detail and profound love for the music has earned the quartet praise from critics and audiences alike. Recorded live in concert, the CD explores Beethoven’s sunny String Quartet in D Op. 18 No. 3, the intimate ‘Serioso’ Quartet and finally the String Quartet in B flat Op. 130.
