Expanding Spaces is a collaborative project to perform and record contemporary works related tothe theme of Expanding Space.Three of these works, "Squares and Oblongs", "four scenes forJuliet", and "The Vacant Shore" were commissioned for this project. The fourth work, "SolarProminences", was commissioned for the Concord (Massachusetts) Band in 1988 for their 25thanniversary season.
