Yale Philharmonia is the largest ensemble at the Yale School of Music, and has been described by the New York Times as “sensational, polished and dramatic!” This release announces a new long-term relationship between Nimbus and the Yale Music faculties which will include recordings from Yale Symphony Orchestra, YaleMarching Band and Yale Glee Club along with other chamber music programmes. The first release from this exciting new partnership brings together some of the most eminent members of the Yale faculty. Critics and performers have admired the beautiful melodies, colourful orchestrations, virtuosic displays and breadth of expressionin Mozart’s piano concertos since he improvised many of the solo parts at their first performances.
