To mark its 75th anniversary, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra has recorded a selection of favourite masterpieces as a gift to both the musicians and their audiences. Founded in 1945 by Edmond de Stoutz, the orchestra has enjoyed decades of highly successful and invigorating music-making, ranging from Baroque to contemporary works. Here, together with Music Director Daniel Hope, they have chosen three classic serenades which are highlights of their repertoire.
1. I. Pezzo In Forma Di Sonatina. Andante Non Troppo - Allegro
2. Ii. Waltz. Moderato. Tempo Di Valse
3. Iii. Elegie. Larghetto Elegiaco
4. Iv. Finale (Tema Russo). Andante - Allegro Con Spirito
