From 1990 onwards, Bothén has continued leading his own groups, and has also collaborated with multi-reedist Mats Gustafsson, performance artist and musician Sara Lundén and cornetist Goran Kajfeš. A new trio with Konrad Agnas and Vilhelm Bromander will release its debut album OMEN on Bocian Records during fall 2020. Bothén will also participate – as a writer and musician – in a upcoming project on Don Cherry, initiated by Blank Forms.
