Eighth collection of short documentary films produced by the Rank Organisation in the 1960s to show at the Odeon and Gaumont cinemas. The shorts were designed to replace cinematic newsreels, which had been rendered largely redundant by the increasing prevalence of television sets and televisual news broadcasts. This volume contains over 60 digitally restored films, many unseen since their initial cinematic broadcast, that explore a range of themes relating to life during this decade.
