As a musical term, ‘psychobilly’ probably dates from the late1970s and the emergence of bands like the Cramps, whoblended punk with ‘50s rockabilly to create something that waspretty much the musical equivalent of outsider art. Today,however, it’s music that prefigured the punks by 15 years thatconcerns us, a rich seam that’s explored on this 2-CD set.
